The Official Selection of the 19th International Jewish Film Festival in Mexico is made up of films that have made a brief but winding journey through various festivals, managing to conquer different audiences, such is the case of “La travesía” that won the Young Audience Award from the EFA (European Film Awards). At the same time, these films contain this narrative of the reboot or rethinking of things, as in the case of “Se renta” (Sublet) by the acclaimed Eytan Fox, who presents us with an unlikely relationship in the mind of one of the characters, but which ends up being the discovery of a new way of seeing things. Six fiction feature films that predict the beginning of something new; for example, the way we relate as Keren Ben Rafael puts it in his most recent film “The End of Love.” Where a couple sees their relationship deteriorate in front of a screen. “Green horizons” (Greener Pastures) tells us about the paradigm shifts in the elderly when the culture itself has exceeded our customs.

Israel, United Kingdom, Germany are the countries where these films were produced, which show us the perspective of five directors; that either from the past, the present or a probable and immediate future they warn us, from their particular and cinematic point of view, of the change that is coming.
